What is "dhungana"

Dhungana ( Devanagari ढुंगाना) is a common South Asian surname, mainly used in Nepal.

All Dhungana share the same gotra, Kausika , which means all of them share the same forefather, so a Dhungana can't marry another Dhungana. The name "Dhungana" is originated from a village named "Dhungani" in western Nepal.
