Decalcifying

Decalcify \De*cal"ci*fy\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Decalcified; p. pr. & vb. n. Decalcifying.] To deprive of calcareous matter; thus, to decalcify bones is to remove the stony part, and leave only the gelatin.
