What is "dawsar"

Dawsar heavy armored personal carrier developed by King Abdullah Design and Development Bureau .It is conversion of Tariq main battle tank (upgraded version of Centurion). Jordanian Army received 4 vehicles 2014.more of these vehicles are expected to be ordered in the next years.

The prime role of heavy armored vehicle is support mechanized formation .on the battlefield these heavy armored vehicle run alongside main battle tanks.these armored vehicles less vulnerable to anti-tank weapons than light APCs or IFVs. It may be used as a personnel carrier, ammunition carrier, ambulance and command post vehicle.
