Dadhi in Ropar, Punjab is a small village in India near the Sikh towns of Kiratpur Sahib and Anandpur Sahib. The village is situated on the bank of the Sutlej about 10 km south of Anandpur, about 30 km north of Rupnagar and 90 km from Chandigarh on the Nangal-Rupnagar-Chandigarh road (NH21).

Kiratpur Sahib was established in 1627 by the 6th Nanak, Guru Hargobind, who bought the land from Raja Tara Chand of Kehloor through his son, Baba Gurditta. The place is also associated with the memory of a Muslim saint, Pir Buddan Shah who, according to legends lived about 800 years.

It is a sacred place for the Sikhs. Guru Nanak Dev is said to have visited this place when it was little more than a wilderness. Guru Hargobind, the sixth Guru spent the last few years of his life here. Both Guru Har Rai and Guru Harkrishan were also born at this place and they received the Gurgadi (Guruship) at this place.

"Guru Ramana Maharshi Gramin Vikas Sanstha", a non-government organisation has been working well for the welfare of local people and working for a cause to make this village a better place. Most of the young people of this area are well educated. Dr. Rattan Chand, a highly placed bureaucrat in Govt. of India, hails from this village. Dr. Rattan Chand apart from Government of India has worked with many international organisations as USAID, International Monetary Fund (IMF), UNICEF, WHO etc.

A week-long spiritual festival "Srimad Bhagvad Katha Saptah" was organised at the village from 29 May to 5 June 2014 by "Guru Ramana Maharshi Gramin Vikas Sanstha". Pandit Shiv Shastri gave a week-long lecture on spirituality. Notable attendees were Dr. Rattan Chand (Bureaucrat, Government of India) and Mr. Arvind Mittal,Convener - BJP Youth Wing and Ex. Addl. Advocate General, Government of Punjab and Suresh Sharma, Advocate Supreme Court of India.
