Come Home (James song)

"Come Home" is a song by Mancunian band James, first released as a single in November 1989 by Rough Trade. Like the preceding single, " Sit Down", it received little attention initially and led to James parting ways with Rough Trade. After Mercury Records had signed the band to the Fontana label and experienced chart success with " How Was It for You" they re-released "Come Home" in June 1990 in a version remixed by Flood. The original release had artwork by Central Station Design while the re-release repeated the design of the "How Was It for You" singles, with the words "come" and "home" on the front and back covers, respectively, with different background colours marking the various formats. The song featured on the influential 1990 'Madchester' compilation album Happy Daze.

Come Home (OneRepublic song)

"Come Home" is a song written by OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder for the band's debut album, Dreaming Out Loud (2007). The piano-based ballad features orchestral flourishes, and lyrically revolves around the eponymous pleading hook "Come home, come home". Some reviewers felt the song had political undertones as an appeal to recall American troops as Tedder had written the song about a friend serving overseas. "Come Home" was highlighted as a refreshing change of pace from the many similar-sounding songs composing Dreaming Out Loud.

In 2009, the song was remastered featuring singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, and this version was issued digitally as the album's fifth and final single. The song debuted at #80 on the Billboard Hot 100 the week of July 14 before dropping off the chart the following week due to a lack of promotion. The song was never serviced to radio, and failed to chart outside the U.S. "Come Home" was featured on episodes of Gossip Girl, Cold Case and The Vampire Diaries.
