Cochise (; Cheis or A-da-tli-chi, in Apache K'uu-ch'ish "oak"; c. 1805 – June 8, 1874) was leader of the Chihuicahui local group of the Chokonen ("central" or "real" Chiricahua) and principal chief (or nantan) of the Chokonen band of the Chiricahua Apache. A key war leader during the Apache Wars, he led an uprising against the American government which began in 1861, and persisted until a peace treaty in 1872. Cochise County, Arizona is named after him.
Cochise was an English country rock band that performed in the 1970s.
This band is more significant for who they included than what they produced. Singer Stewart Brown had grown up with Reggie Dwight, later Elton John, and co-founded the band Bluesology with him. After the demise of Cochise, Mick Grabham made a solo album in 1972 and joined Procol Harum the following year. B.J. Cole also recorded a solo album in 1972, called New Hovering Dog, before becoming an important session musician playing with Elton John, Uriah Heep and many others throughout the 1970s. Rick Wills and John "Willie" Wilson played on David Gilmour's debut solo album in 1978.
"Cochise" is a song by American hard rock band Audioslave. Recorded with producer Rick Rubin, it was featured as the opening track on the band's 2002 self-titled debut album Audioslave. The song was also released as the first single from the album on October 14, 2002, reaching the top ten of both the United States Billboard Mainstream Rock and Alternative Songs charts.

Cochise is the debut album from the British rock band Cochise.
Cochise is a feature on Earth's Moon, a crater in Taurus-Littrow valley. Astronauts Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt landed southwest of it in 1972, on the Apollo 17 mission. They drove along its rim in the rover during EVA 3, but did not stop.
To the southwest are Shakespeare and Van Serg, and to the northeast is Bowen and Geology Station 8 at the base of the Sculptured Hills.
The crater was named by the astronauts after Cochise, Chief of the Chiricahua Apache.
