Clevite, Inc. was a Cleveland, Ohio based manufacturing company, founded as the Cleveland Graphite Bronze Company. The name was changed to Clevite in 1952 with the acquisition of the Brush Development Company. In 1969, Clevite was acquired by Gould-National Batteries. The company was a leading producer of bearings and a significant US government defense contractor.

Clevite acquired 51% of Transistor Products Inc in 1953 and with other acquisitions developed a semiconductor division.
