Cleistocarpida

Cleistocarpida is a suborder of cnidarians in the order Stauromedusae. They are characterized by tissue that separates the organisms' four gastric regions, known as a claustrum. The suborder contains two families, Craterolophidae and Depastridae, distinguished by the absence or presence of longitudinal muscles running along the peduncle, respectively.
