Chnadinama (Nawada)

Chandinama is a village situated in Nawada district in the state of Bihar. It comes under Kashichak post office and police station. It is situated around 35 km north east of Nawada City and 18 km south west of Sheikhpura city. People come to Kashichak market for shopping which is around 1 km far from Chandinama village. It is well connected by road and railway. Road passes through this village connects SH71 and SH83. People board the train from Kashichak railway station. There are direct trains to few important destinations (such as Howrah, Gaya, Kiul, Kamakhya) from Kashichak railway station.

Chandi maa temple is the main attraction of this village. All around the year people from neighboring villages (khakri, Rebra,Daulachak, Nurichak ) visit Chandi Maa temple and worship the goddess Chandi. On the occasion of Durga Puja (especially from Saptmi to Dasmi), temple is fully decorated and people sing devotional song in the night and offer prayers to the goddess in front of fire. On 9th day of Durga puja (Navmi), people sacrifice goats as bali in front of temple and then they consume their meat as prasad.
