Chandrapore
Chandrapore is the fictional Indian city in E. M. Forster's novel A Passage to India (1924). It is said to have been based on the city of Bankipur, a suburb of Patna in the state of Bihar.
In James Hilton's novel Lost Horizon (1933), it is in the airplane belonging to the Maharaja of Chandapore that Hugh Conway and three others are taken to Tibet.
