Chagres (musician)

Edwin Jiménez (born 9 September 1982), known as Chagres, is a Panamenian Reggae music artist and singer-songwriter based on Germany. He first received recognition in 2005 by founding the band Pureza Natural, which is nowadays one of the most representative Reggae Roots Bands in the region. A key factor for this success besides Edwin's charisma and great voice, is definitively his lyrics. He found a way to express daily emotions and experiences, along with a social content using a very interesting game of words. This combination traps automatically those who listen him. Edwin Jiménez is responsible for the writings of all Pureza Natural's songs. Nowadays he is giving his first steps as Solo artist being a Reggae and Dancehall Newcomer. Chagres is working on his first Album alongside the German Band Complex Tones.
