Centex Corporation was a home builder founded and headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The company was acquired by rival Pulte Homes in 2009 for 1.6 billion dollars.

The builder was bought put by Pulte in 2009 and is now part of a larger company called the Pulte Group. The larger company consists of Pulte Homes, Centex Homes, Del Webb Homes, and DiVosta Luxury Communities.
