Catadromous \Ca*tad"ro*mous\, a. [Gr. kata` down + dro`mos a running.]
(Bot.) Having the lowest inferior segment of a pinna nearer the rachis than the lowest superior one; -- said of a mode of branching in ferns, and opposed to anadromous.
