Carmela: Ang Pinakamagandang Babae sa Mundong Ibabaw is a Filipino drama series broadcast by GMA Network starring Marian Rivera and Alden Richards. The show premiered on January 27, 2014 on the network's primetime block replacing Genesis and worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV on January 28, 2014. The series ended on May 23, 2014 replaced by Niño on its timeslot completed 17 week run with the total of 83 episodes. Starting November 11, 2015 until March 4, 2016 it re-airs on GMA Life TV worldwide.

Carmela is a 1942 Italian drama film directed by Flavio Calzavara, starring Doris Duranti and Pál Jávor. It is set on a small island in the Strait of Sicily in 1893, and tells the story of a young woman who is seduced by a soldier who promises to marry her, only to be abandoned soon after. When a new soldier is stationed on the island she tries to convince him to make the first soldier return. The film is based on Edmondo De Amicis' 1869 short story "Vita Militare".
