Cannon Fodder (series)

Cannon Fodder is a series of war (and later science fiction) themed action games developed by Sensible Software, initially released for the Commodore Amiga. Only two games in the series were created by Sensible, but were converted to most active systems at the time of release. The series has a clear, somewhat darkly humorous method of gameplay that perhaps even doubles as social commentary. A sequel, Cannon Fodder 2, was released in 1994 for Amiga and DOS. A third game, Cannon Fodder 3, was made by a Russian developer and released in English in 2012.

Cannon Fodder (video game)

Cannon Fodder is an action- strategy shoot 'em up game developed by Sensible Software and published by Virgin Interactive for the Amiga in 1993. Virgin ported the game to home computer systems DOS, the Atari ST and the Archimedes, and the consoles Jaguar, Mega Drive, SNES and 3DO. The game is military-themed and based on shooting action but with a strategy game-style control system. The player directs troops through numerous missions, battling enemy infantry, vehicles and installations.

Cannon Fodder has a darkly humorous tone which commentators variously praised and condemned. Its creators intended it to convey an anti-war message, which some reviewers recognised, but the Daily Star and a number of public figures derided the game. In other respects, reviewers highly praised the game, which widely achieved scores of over 90% in Amiga magazines. Amiga Action awarded it an unprecedented score, calling it the best game of the year.

Cannon Fodder (film)

Cannon Fodder, also known by the alternate titles of Basar Totahim and Battle of the Undead, is a 2013 horror film that was directed by Eitan Gafny, based on a script written by Gafny and Amit Lior, and is Gafny's feature film directorial debut. The film had its world premiere on 10 May 2013 at the Cape Fear Independent Film Festival and stars Liron Levo as a security operative sent to Lebanon on a final mission, only to discover that his opponents are of the dead.

Cannon Fodder has been billed as Israel's "first full length zombie film".
