Burrel \Bur"rel\, n. [Cf. OF. burel reddish (cf. Borel, n.), or F. beurr['e] butter pear, fr. beurre butter. Cf. Butter.] A sort of pear, called also the red butter pear, from its smooth, delicious, soft pulp.
