Buriers (formerly A Band of Buriers) are an alternative spoken word band from London. Predominantly DIY they are also affiliated with a number of independent labels including Endemik Records, I Had An Accident Records and Silver Rocket Records. The band was formed in December 2010 by James P Honey (vocals, guitar) and Jamie Romain (cello, guitar, vocals). In 2013 Buriers were joined by violinist Laura Mallows and in 2014 drummer Ramon Sherrington, who was replaced in 2015 by Jamie Gillett.

Buriers released their debut self-titled EP in 2011. Their debut full-length album,Filth, was released on 10 July 2012 at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. The release was followed by tours in Austria, Germany and the South of France. The single from the album, also called "Filth" was picked as Clash’s track of the day, in which the album was described as ‘raw, vital… real’. The album received plaudits from Rough Trade where it is distributed and The Fly. The controversial video to launch the album featured actors Matthew Lewis (of Harry Potter fame) and Lily Loveless (of Skins fame) in a tempestuous relationship that ends in self-mutilation.

After a sold-out show upstairs at Ronnie Scott's they did a four-month residency at the club for promoter TV Nights. Buriers host the A Band Of Buriers present… night at Blacks members club and have presented many famous folk musicians, including Alasdair Roberts and 2012 Mercury Prize nominee Sam Lee.

In November 2012, Buriers toured with Micah P. Hinson on the sold out UK leg of his European tour as well as performing twice at the Union Chapel, voted London's Number One Music Venue by Time Out.

In August 2013 Buriers opened Off Festival in Poland with Patrick Wolf. Shortly after they were signed to booking agent Allo Floride. In November 2013 A Band Of Buriers were selected by the Vienna Songwriting Association to open the last day of the sold out Blue Bird Festival in Vienna with Edwyn Collins, Rachel Sermanni, Adam Green and Amanda Palmer. Buriers were described as one of the highlights of the festival by Austrian national radio station FM4.

Buriers performed again with Micah P. Hinson for nine dates on the UK leg of his 2014 European tour, including their third show at the Union Chapel courtesy of ATP/ All Tomorrow's Parties (music festival)

In July 2014 Buriers went to Texas to record with Micah P. Hinson at his home, resulting in their Four Songs EP, produced with Hinson, which was self released in November that same year. Peckham Rye from the EP was track of the day on Folk Radio UK

In February 2016 they released the To Speak Of One's Own Pride EP with Endemik Records.
