Bulandi is an Bollywood action family drama film, a remake of the Tamil movie Nattamai. In Bulundi, Anil Kapoor portrays the protagonist, with Rekha and Raveena Tandon in supporting roles. Superstar Rajinikanth plays the father of the protagonist. Anil Kapoor enacts the role of the head of the village. The story revolves around the environment of a village under the Panchayati Raj rule. The hero's family brings justice to the village. Nattamai was also made in Kannada ( Simhadriya Simha) starring Vishnuvardhan.
