What is "buckode"

Buckode is a village in County Leitrim, Ireland. It lies south of Lough Melvin on the R281 regional road.

The village has six old buildings, which are used. There are two local pubs, a supermarket, a health center, barracks station, shop & post. Also two churches, a primary school, a Protestant primary school, twenty-nine houses, a community centre and the Protestant remorical hall.
