Bubale \Bu"ba*le\, n. [Cf. F. bubale. See Buffalo, n.] (Zo["o]l.) A large antelope ( Alcelaphus bubalis) of Egypt and the Desert of Sahara, supposed by some to be the fallow deer of the Bible.
