Branchville (Ridgefield)

Branchville is a Ridgefield, Connecticut neighborhood crossing into portions of Wilton and Redding, Connecticut, and is also the name of a Metro North railroad station ( Branchville Station).

Some people consider Branchville a part of Georgetown, Connecticut, an adjoining, non-incorporated community at the intersection of Redding, Ridgefield, Wilton and Weston, noting many residences and businesses there share Georgetown's 544- telephone number exchange. Others disagree, pointing to a community vote in the 1950s not to be served by the Georgetown Post Office, which is closer than the Ridgefield Post Office.

Usage examples of "branchville".

He does not know whether Sherman intends to advance on Branchville, Charleston, or Columbia.

His education had been very limited, but one could show him, say, a printed sign and tell him it read "Danger" or "Five miles to Branchville," or anything like that, and the next time he saw it, Eradicate would know what that sign said.

We at length discovered that Sherman had reached Branchville, and was singing around toward Columbia, and other important points to the north.

There's also quarries at Roxbury, Branchville, East Hampton and Old Mystic right down on the coast.

A mile beyond Branchville stop at The Fatted Calf, take a table and order a drink.
