Bovate
Bovate \Bo"vate\, n. [LL. bovata, fr. bos, bovis, ox.] (O. Eng. Law.) An oxgang, or as much land as an ox can plow in a year; an ancient measure of land, of indefinite quantity, but usually estimated at fifteen acres.
