Borsu

Borsu is a type of magnetic computer disk system based on Bernoulli technology, available during the 1980s.

The underlying technology was licensed from Iomega. It featured 10 MB disks that were the size of A4 paper and about 1 cm thick. Using an 8-bit scsi-like interface, 2 drive boxes would be connected to an 8-bit interface card. Driver software was available for Novell NetWare and DOS.

At a time when 20 MB hard disks were standard equipment for PCs, a removable double 10 MB drive was a significant addition. In most cases, one could additionally use DoubleSpace or DriveSpace technology to increase the available storage space.
