The Black Card is compared to the American Express Platinum Card, and is marketed as a high-end rewards credit card. The Black Card is issued by Barclaycard US, the United States subsidiary of Barclaycard, the credit card arm of Barclays. The card is thought to be marketed to the affluent and is sometimes confused with the American Express Centurion Card, an invitation-only elite card marketed towards the extremely wealthy.
