Black Card (Visa credit card)

Launched in 2008, The Visa Black Card is a Visa credit card that allows its members access to various luxuries and rewards. The Black Card is compared to the American Express Platinum Card, and is marketed as a high-end rewards credit card. The Black Card is issued by Barclaycard US, the United States subsidiary of Barclaycard, the credit card arm of Barclays. The card is thought to be marketed to the affluent and is sometimes confused with the American Express Centurion Card, an invitation-only elite card marketed towards the extremely wealthy. Unlike the Centurion Card (a charge card), the Visa Black Card is a credit card with a predetermined spending limit based upon qualification.

The Visa Black Card is made of stainless steel and includes many rewards and bonuses. As of January 2015, the card has an annual membership fee of $495 for the account holder, and $195 for every additional authorized user on the account. Other membership perks include a luxury members only magazine and 24-7 dedicated concierge service.
