Bikkanapalli is a mid-sized village in Kolatti Panchayat, about 12 kilometers from Denkanikota, (Taluk HQ) on Denkanikota to Anchatti Road, taking diversion, at Andevanapalli. Alternatively, by the Tamil Nadu Government buses plying from Denkanikota to Bikkanapalli, at regular intervals. Kolatti is one of the panchayat under Thally Constituency Denkanikottai taluk of Krishnagiri district, Tamil Nadu, India. It is located in the Krishnagiri District of the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, about 80 km (90 minutes) from Bangalore and 38 km (40 minutes) from Hosur. It is an agrarian economy depending on the agricultural output of surrounding villages in its panchayat. Chikkamma and Doddamma Temple and Kolatti silk farm are popular shrines in Kolatti Panchayat. All the villagers speak Kannada. The state language Tamil is picking up in popularity. Telugu is also popular. One can easily reach the highly grown up tourist place Hogenekkal from Bangalore through Hosur – Denkanikottai – Anchetti – Nattrapalayam will be a pleasure, since this route is covered by reserve forest areas. You can spot elephants and wild animals. The best mode of travel is by bicycle.
