Bharya (1962 film)

Bharya is a 1962 Malayalam language film starring Sathyan and Ragini in the lead roles. It was directed by Kunchacko based on a novel with the same title by Kanam EJ.

The novel was based on the controversial Thiruvalla Ammalu murder case. Ponkunnam Varkey wrote the dialogues, which became a cult favourite among family audiences, and was subsequently released along with the soundtrack album. This was for the first time in Kerala and second time in South India that the dialogues were released as a separate gramophone record.

'Bharya ' is a 1994 Indian Malayalam film, directed by VR Gopalakrishnan and produced by B Sreekumar. The film stars Jagadeesh and Urvashi in lead roles. The film had musical score by SP Venkitesh.

Bharya (TV series)

Bharya (ml; ഭാര്യ) is an Indian television series launched on Asianet channel on 16 May airs on Mondays to Saturdays at 09:00PM IST and retelecast at 3:00PM. The promos on about it was already telecasted through the channel from late April.

This show replaced the longest running Malayalam serial Sthreedhanam which telecasted its Final episode on 14th may. Eleena who is a popular anchor in Malayalam television makes her debut as an actress through this series as the female lead with negative shades. Sonu who played a negative role in Sthreedhanam plays the character of a simple,kind and a humble widow. A New face Ronson plays the hero named Nandan.
