Betwixt and between

Betwixt \Be*twixt"\, prep. [OE. betwix, bitwix, rarely bitwixt, AS. betweox, betweohs, betweoh, betw[=i]h; pref. be- by + a form fr. AS. tw[=a] two. See Between.]
