What is "becky!"

Becky! Internet Mail is an e-mail client used on the Microsoft Windows operating systems and was developed by the Japanese company RimArts from Matsudo City, Chiba. Becky! was originally released in 1996 as Becky! Version 1. That version was rewritten in the early 2000s and Becky! Version 2 was released in 2004 and is still the flagship product, receiving approximately 8 to 10 updates yearly. Becky! achieved early success in East Asia due to good support for CJKV characters and its ability to handle many languages has created interest in Europe, as evidenced by the translations to French and German by volunteers. It is also volunteers who created an extended help file and administer the only support forum.
