Barwood

Barwood \Bar"wood`\ (b[aum]r"w[oo^]d`), n. A red wood of a leguminous tree ( Baphia nitida), from Angola and the Gabon in Africa. It is used as a dyewood, and also for ramrods, violin bows and turner's work.
