Bardonia (Erie Railroad station)
Bardonia was a station on the Erie Railroad in Bardonia, New York. It was originally built along the New Jersey and New York Railroad's New City Branch, which was later incorporated into the Erie Railroad system. Rather than construct a station at Bardonia, the railroad just rented a three-story general store owned by a local entrepreneur at the compensation of $50–$60 (1916 USD).
Both pedestrian and freight service was terminated on the New City Branch ended in 1939, and the tracks were quickly removed thereafter. The old station house remained intact near the corner of Bardonia Road and NY 304 until 2014, when it was demolished to make way for a CVS.
