Bardihan
Bardihan is a village in Nasriganj block of the Rohtas district of Bihar.
It is also known as Chawni (cant.), as during British rule it was Chawni for British Forces.
After independence it became residence of Sri Jag Narayan Upadhyay, owner of Upadhyay Roadways (Thakua Coach) & SRI Shideshwar upadhayay (Senior Advocate in District Court Rohtas at Sasaram,),Sri Visnu Bhagwan Upadhayay (Sr. Proffesar at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi), Ramesh Chandra Upadhyay (Advocate in Bikramganj Coart)Sri Krisna Upadhyay (leader of socialism)
The famous sweets of this place is "Khoorma" made from cottage cheese, later on it spread all over Bhojpuri belt i.e. Rohtas, Ara, Buxar & Kaimur.
