BAPP
The acronyms BAPP (or B.A.P.P.) and BAMP (or B.A.M.P.) refer to a set of open-source software programs commonly used together to run dynamic web sites or servers. This set is a solution stack, and an open source web platform.
BAPP refers to:
- BSD, family of operating systems;
- Apache, the web server;
- PostgreSQL, the database management system (or database server);
- Perl, PHP, Python, and/or Primate ( mod mono), scripting/programming languages.
BAMP refers to:
- BSD, family of operating systems;
- Apache, the web server;
- MySQL, the database management system (or database server);
- Perl, PHP, Python, and/or Primate ( mod mono), scripting/programming languages.
The two acronyms have three major uses:
- Define a web server infrastructure
- Define a programming paradigm of developing software
- Define a software distribution package
