Bangaon is a city and a municipality in North 24 Parganas district in the state of West Bengal, India. Bangaon is headquarters of Bangaon subdivision. Sankar Adhya is the present chairperson of the municipality.
Bangaon (Lok Sabha constituency) is one of the 543 parliamentary constituencies in India. The constituency is in North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal and is centred on Bangaon. All the seven assembly segments of No.14 Bangaon (Lok Sabha constituency) are in North 24 Parganas district. As per order of the Delimitation Commission in respect of the delimitation of constituencies in the West Bengal, Bangaon (Lok Sabha constituency) came into being in 2009.
Bangaon (also spelled as Bongaon) is a community development block that forms an administrative division in Bangaon subdivision of North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Bangaon police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is at Bangaon. It is located 59 km from Barasat, the district headquarters.
