Baňa is a village and municipality in Stropkov District in the Prešov Region of north-eastern Slovakia.

Adriano Gonçalves (5 March 1932 – 13 July 2013), known by his stage name Bana and called the " King of Morna", was a Cape Verdean balladeer and an interpreter of the morna style, the plaintive, melodic lament which is a staple musical style of the country.

Bána (Bana) was the name of a gens (Latin for "clan"; nemzetség in Hungarian) in the Kingdom of Hungary. According to the tradition the Cseszneky family has descended from the Bána clan.
