Balingian (also known as Baligian) is a town in Sarawak, Malaysia. It lies approximately east-north-east of the state capital Kuching.
It is located about 60 km from Mukah town, and recent developments have started to transform the area: the coastal road has improved links to other towns; the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE); an aluminium factory about 25 km from Balingian. Offshore oil and gas is also a growth area for Balingian.

Balingian is a state constituency in Sarawak, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly since 1969.
The state constituency was created in the 1968 redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly under the first past the post voting system.
