Baklahorani
Baklahorani (alternatively, Bakla Horani; ) or Tataula carnival is a carnival celebrated annually in Istanbul, Turkey, by members of the local Greek- Orthodox community on Shrove Monday, the last Monday before Lent. The traditional celebration began in 19th century or earlier, and ceased when it was banned by the Turkish authorities in 1943. However, beginning in 2010 there has been a revival initiative.
