Bahun
Bahun is a local term for the traditional Indian-origin Vedic Brahmins of Nepal. As in India, Nepalese Brahmins are traditionally priests, educators and scholars. By tradition and, until 1962, civil law, they represent the highest of the four Hindu varna, or castes.
