Bagboy is a 2015 American television special produced for Adult Swim and based on the series Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule. The special features John C. Reilly as Dr. Steve Brule, who, in-universe, created the pilot on which the special is based. In the pilot, Steve portrays himself as a bagger at Myer's Super Foods with his coworkers and friends. The pilot was rejected by Channel 5 for its "substandard quality and low entertainment value". The special was directed by Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim of their production company Abso Lutely Productions. It premiered on Adult Swim on February 21, 2015, to positive critical reception.
