Pyocyanin \Py`o*cy"a*nin\, n. [Gr. ? pus + ? dark blue.] (Physiol. Chem.) A blue coloring matter found in the pus from old sores, supposed to be formed through the agency of a species of bacterium ( Bacillus pyocyaneus).
