Atthidographer

Atthidographer (, atthidographos) is the name given to historians who wrote an Atthis, a work on the history of Athens. The first Athenian to attempt this kind of history was Kleidemos. He was then followed by Androtion, Phanodemos, Demon, and Melanthios. The last Atthidographer was Philochorus. The genre in which these authors worked is referred to as Atthidography.
