AtlasCT (lit. Atlas Cartographic Technologies) is a worldwide provider of GIS and mapping applications for the Internet and wireless platforms. It was founded in 1987, as a maps and guides producer. In 1998 it went into the field of digital mapping by developing the AtlasNET map server. AtlasCT has been expanding its activity since 2001, from location-based services over the Web to Navigation services for the Mobile market. The company provides remote as well as stand-alone maps and GIS services.
The company is also the owner and developer of ABmaps.com, a mapping portal of world maps. The portal is specially targeted for the North American and Western Europe GIS market. The portal provides a variety of free geospatial services and Business Services available for online payment. AtlasCT differentiates from other players in the GIS arena by utilizing technologies such as Scalable Vector Graphics ( SVG) and Macromedia Flash for displaying online interactive maps.
