Astrup may refer to: an interpolation technique for acid-base measurement, based on pH and the use of the Siggaard-Andersen nomogram to determine the base deficit as an expression of metabolic acidosis and the arterial PCO2 as an expression ofrespiratory acidosis or alkalosis. Method was a base of blood acid-base balance tests introduced in the rst half of 1950s by Paul Astrup.
