What is "arsenophonus"

Arsenophonus is a genus of Enterobacteriaceae, of the Gammaproteobacteria. Arsenophonus are an increasingly discovered symbiont of insects from a diversity of insect taxa. Arsenophonus species are usually male-killers or mutualistic endosymbionts. Arsenophonus nasoniae infects the Nasonia parasitic wasps. Up to now there is only one species of this genus known (Arsenophonus nasoniae).
