Armaan (1966 film)

Armaan ( Urdu: ارمان) is a Pakistani black-and-white film produced by Waheed Murad and directed by Pervaiz Malik. It was the first Pakistani film to complete 75 weeks in cinemas and, thus, became the first Pakistani " Platinum Jubilee" film. The film was picturized in black-and-white prints in Karachi.

'Armaan ' (Desire) also called Arman, is a Bollywood film. It was released in 1942. Arman was the first film that Kidar Sharma directed for Ranjit Studios and also his first in Bombay since his shift from Calcutta. The story, dialogue and lyrics were also by Sharma. It had music by Gyan Dutt. The cinematographer was D. K. Ambre. The cast included Motilal, Shamim, Nagendra Majumdar, Bhagwandas, and Rajkumari.

The story was a romantic melodrama involving a young rich man who loses his eyesight and is unable to recognise the girl he loves, who has helped restore his sight.

The film is produced by Tarang Housefull, Abdullah Kadwani and 7th Sky Entertainment. Film stars Fawad Afzal Khan, Aamina Sheikh, Vasay Chaudhry and Mahnoor Khan. Fawad Afzal Khan and Aamina Sheikh won Tarang Housefull Awards for Best On Screen Couple.
