Apronia

Saint Apronia was a nun and saint of the sixth century. She was born near Trier, and was the sister of Bishop Saint Aprus (Evre) of Toul, from whom she received the veil. She is recorded as having died at a convent in Troyes. Her feast day is July 15.

Apronia (gens)

The gens Apronia was a plebeian family at Rome throughout the history of the Republic and into imperial times. The first member of the gens to achieve prominence was Gaius Apronius, tribune of the plebs in 449 BC. None of the Apronii obtained the consulship until the first century AD.
