Wikipedia Ancistrini Ancistrini is a tribe of catfishes of the family Loricariidae. Most are restricted to tropical and subtropical South America, but there are also several genus ( Ancistrus, Chaetostoma, Hemiancistrus and Lasiancistrus) in southern Central America.
