What is "anbilalanturai"

Anbil Alanthurai Temple is dedicated to Shiva and is located in the banks of kollidam river in Anbil, a small village near Lalgudi.

The temple has a 5-tier Raja gopuram, an outer prakaram(outer courtyard) and a nandavanam (flower garden). There are lot of inscriptions in the walls of the temple revealing Chola architecture.
