What is "amsterdam-noord"

Amsterdam-Noord (in ) is a borough of Amsterdam, Netherlands. The borough is situated north of the IJ lake, the body of water which separates it from central Amsterdam and the rest of the city.

On the northwest and northern side the borough borders the municipalities of Zaanstad (city Zaandam), Oostzaan, Landsmeer and Waterland.
