Ambalaseri is a village in Tuticorin District in the southern region of Tamil Nadu, India. The village has a population of roughly 1500 people. Two small lakes are near the village; one is on the southern side and another on the northern side of the village. Rice, dal, peanuts and bananas are the main agricultural products. St. Jebastin church is located in the centre of the village. The village is said to be categorized into two divisions. In the southern part of the village there are a majority of Christians. The Acharis(Carpenters, Black Smith, Gold Smith),Devar and Saiva Pillais resides in the northern area of this village. The village have many interesting stories and histories. Nazareth is just located in a 7.5 km distance from Ambalaseri. Sattan Kulam is just located in a 9 km distance from Ambalaseri. The literacy level in this village is slowly emerging. The famous fruit here is called 'Nongu' and given by Palm tree.
