Amaurornis
Amaurornis is a genus of birds in the family Rallidae. The name comes from the Greek amauros, meaning "dusky" or "brown" and ornis, meaning "bird".
It contains the following species:
- Brown crake (Amaurornis akool)
- Plain bush-hen (Amaurornis olivacea)
- Isabelline bush-hen (Amaurornis isabellina)
